Peters and Stevens Capture Spa Victory, Eye Future Success
EC Sports Management driver Jude Peters and Belgian racer Vic Stevens delivered an unforgettable performance at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, guiding the #27 Team Virage Ligier JS P4 to victory in Race 2 of the Spa Heat on August 24.
The race began in dramatic fashion, with early incidents triggering multiple safety car periods. Peters showed composure from the start, skillfully navigating the opening-lap chaos and climbing from seventh to third. Keeping pace with the leaders through the interruptions, he handed over the car to Stevens in strong position.
Stevens then seized the moment, executing a decisive move at the Bus Stop chicane to claim the lead. He defended fiercely in a photo-finish, securing the team’s first win of the 2025 season. The triumph not only rewarded Peters and Stevens for their resilience after a tough first race, but also underscored their growing reputation as a formidable pairing in the Ligier European Series.
Reflecting on the win, Peters credited the team effort: “Turn one was messy, but I stayed clear of the damage and pushed us into podium contention. Vic finished it off brilliantly—it’s the perfect way to bounce back and build momentum.”
Looking ahead, Peters is preparing for an even bigger stage. He will return for the 2026 season with a goal of stepping up into the European LMP3 series, a move that represents the next step in his endurance racing career. With Stevens alongside him, the Spa victory is a milestone pointing toward future ambitions.
